NEW DELHI : Amid profit-booking by speculators and weak trend overseas, copper futures traded a shade lower today at Rs 454.25 per kg.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in April declined by 40 paise, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 454.25 per kg in business turnover of 21 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in February fell by just 10 paise, or 0.02 per cent, to Rs 451.10 per kg in 506 lots.
Analysts attributed the decline in copper prices at futures trade to profit-booking by speculators and metal’s weakness at the London Metal Exchange (LME).
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three-months traded 0.2 per cent down at USD 7,180.25 per tonne at the LME. (AGENCIES)
