Copper futures rise on spot demand

NEW DELHI, Nov 24:  Buoyed by increased domestic demand, copper futures traded 0.29 per cent higher at Rs 450.20 per kg today as speculators widened their bets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in current month was trading Rs 1.30, or 0.29 per cent higher, at Rs 450.20 per kg, in a business volume of 953 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in far-month February was up by Rs 1.20, or 0.26 per cent, to Rs 456 per kg in 205 lots.
Analysts said raising of bets by participants, supported by a firm trend at the domestic spot markets on pick up in demand, influenced copper futures here. (PTI)
