Copper, nickel move down on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, May 30:  Prices of copper and nickel were down by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today owing to slackened demand from consuming industries.
Traders attributed the fall in copper and nickel prices to sluggish demand from consuming industries.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel plate (4×4) were down by Rs 2 each to Rs 404 and Rs 1,020-1,025 per kg respectively.
Following are today’s metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 114-120, Nickel plate (4×4) Rs 1,020-1,025, Gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, Copper mixed scrap Rs 404, Chadri deshi Rs 285.
Lead ingot Rs 108, Lead imported Rs 109, Aluminium ingots Rs 157, Aluminium sheet cutting Rs 158, Aluminium wire scrap Rs 160 and Aluminium utensils scrap Rs 157. *(PTI)
