Copper, nickel prices weaken on reduced industrial offtake

NEW DELHI, Mar 16:  Prices of copper and nickel fell by Rs 5 per kg on the local non-ferrous metal market today due to sluggish demand from consuming industries.
Traders said reduced industrial offtake mainly helped copper and nickel prices to trade lower.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel (4×4) fell by Rs 5 each to Rs 435 and Rs 1,060-1,063 per kg, respectively.
The following are metal rates per kg:
Zinc ingot 123-129, nickel plate (4×4) 1,060-1,063, gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 435, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 146, lead imported 144, aluminium ingots 142, sheet cutting 143, aluminium wire scrap 146 and aluminium utensils scrap 142. (PTI)
