Copper, nickel strengthen on industrial demand

NEW DELHI, June 6:  Prices of copper and nickel moved up by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today supported by rising demand from consuming industries amid a firm global trend.
Traders said reports of a firm global trend mainly led to the rise in copper and nickel prices.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel plate (4×4) were up by Rs 2 each at Rs 404 and Rs 1,017-1,022 per kg, respectively.
Following are today’s metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 114-120, Nickel plate (4×4) Rs 1,017-1,022, Gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, Copper mixed scrap Rs 404, Chadri deshi Rs 285.
Lead ingot Rs 106, Lead imported Rs 107, Aluminium ingots Rs 157, Aluminium sheet cutting Rs 158, Aluminium wire scrap Rs 160 and Aluminium utensils scrap Rs 157. (PTI)
