Copper remains up on increased demand

NEW DELHI, Aug 24:  Copper prices remained firm and rose by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous metal market today on increased demand from consuming industries.
Traders said increased demand from consuming industries mainly helped copper prices to remain higher.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap added Rs 2 to Rs 427 per kg.
The following are today’s metal rates per kg:
Zinc ingot 111-117, nickel plate (4×4) 1,049-1,050 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 427, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 148, lead imported 146, aluminium ingots 144, sheet cutting 145, aluminium wire scrap 147 and aluminium utensils scrap 144. (PTI)
