Copper strengthens on increased industrial demand

NEW DELHI, Sept 17:  Copper strengthened by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today on increased demand from consuming industries.
However, other base metals moved in a narrow range in scattered deals and settled around the previous levels.
Traders said increased demand from consuming industries at domestic spot market, a firm trend overseas kept the copper prices higher.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap advanced by Rs 2 to Rs 381 per kg.

Zinc ingot Rs 107-113, Nickel plate (4×4) Rs 842-847, gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 381, chadri deshi Rs 295.
Lead ingot Rs 91, lead imported Rs 97, aluminium ingots Rs 156, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 152, aluminium wire scrap Rs 152 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 150. (PTI)
