Cops being trained on new criminal laws at SKPA

UDHAMPUR, Feb 22: A five day training on new criminal laws commenced here today at SKPA in which 50 cops from Constable to Inspector rank in J&K Police participated.
Primary objective of the training is to understand the theme behind New Criminal Laws with an emphasis on significant changes.
In addition, the participants were made aware by the chairing officers about comparison of old and new laws.
The participants had opportunity to engage in interactive discussions enhancing their comprehension and application of new laws.
At inaugural function for the training, Rajinder Kumar Gupta, SSP, Dy. Director (Indoor, Trgs) was chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta educated the participating cops with necessary knowledge and understanding of the new laws ensuring that they are well-prepared to address contemporary challenges in law enforcement.
The participants were also made aware by SSP Gupta about comparison of old and new laws.
The course is being coordinated by Rakesh Sambyal, CPO SKPA and assisted by SI Subash Chander, member faculty of SKPA.
Apart from this, a four day course on Social Media Investigation and Data Analytic which commenced at SKPA on February 19, 2024 concluded today in which 17 officers from the rank of SI to Dy.SP participated.
A validation function in this regard was organized wherein Rakesh Sambyal was chief guest and he distributed the certificate of participation among the participants.
