Cops rescue nomad families, livestock

KISHTWAR, May 10: Police here today rescued nomad families along with their livestock, a vehicle driver and a biker.
Police sources informed that cops received a distressed call from some nomad families after they got trapped in heavy snowfall along with their livestock at Naribal area of Margon Top.
One vehicle of Tata Mobile make bearing registration number JK17A-9777 and one motorcycle bearing registration number PB08BU-8055 were also taken out from the snow.
SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal constituted a special team lead by Inspector Sameer Ahmed, SHO Warwan for rescue operations in the area.
During rescue operation, nomad families along with their livestock of more than 100 sheep and their essential commodities were shifted to safer place.
