JAMMU, May 7: Jammu & Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation has provided job on compassionate grounds to a son of its employee, Gurdyal Bharti, who died in harness.
An official order of appointment as Class -IV employees to Gourav Bharti, son of late Gurdyal Bharti, was handed over by Corporation Vice-Chairperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, in presence of wife of the deceased employee, Rekha Bharti, Corporation General Manager, Gulam Qadir Khatana, Jammu District Manager, Joginder Paul Atri and Section Officer Anu Gupta, here today.
It is pertinent to mention that Gurdyal Bharti was serving in Corporation as Junior Scale Stenographer, when he died in 2012 as a diabetic patient. Thereafter, his wife had been continuously struggling to get a job in favour of his son on compassionate grounds. Her son, Gourav Bharti, even approached J&K High Court, which passed directions to consider his request but no final decision could be taken as Board of Directors was not in place since 2015. Soon after constitution of the Board, the matter was taken in its meeting and the members gave their consent to appoint the family member of the deceased employee.
Vice- Chairperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, on this occasion, asked Gourav Bharti to work with dedication like his father and take care of his mother, who had been struggling for years to get job for his son.
Rekha Bharti expressed her gratitude to the Vice Chairperson for taking ken interest in helping her son to get appointed on compassionate grounds in the Corporation.
