Cottonseed oil declines on lack of buying

NEW DELHI, May 23:  In restricted activity, cottonseed oil prices were down by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today in the absence of buying support against adequate stocks position.
However, other edible and non-edible oils continued to trade in a tight range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said slackened buying activity against adequate stocks position mainly put pressure cottonseed oil prices.
In the national capital,cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oil fell by Rs 50 to Rs 5,550 per quintal.
Following are today’s quotations (in Rs per quintal):
Oilseeds: Mustardseed Rs 2,950-3,050 and Groundnutseed Rs 2,150-2,900. Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) Rs 930-1,070.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) Rs 8,700, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) Rs 1,625-1,675, Mustard expeller (Dadri) Rs 7,050, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,200-1,250, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) Rs 1,250-1,350, sesame mill delivery Rs 8,000, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) Rs 6,650, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) Rs 6,350, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) Rs 4,300, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) Rs 5,550, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 5,600, Palmolein (Kandla) Rs 5,500 and Coconut (per tin) Rs 2,375-2,425.
Non-edible oils: Linseed Rs 8,300, Castor Rs 9,850-9,950, Neem Rs 5,350-5,450. (PTI)
