JAMMU, May 7: BJP leader and Councillor of Ward 69 of Sainik Colony, Gurmeet Kour Randhawa today kick started the blacktopping of road in Sector A of Sainik Colony.
This was the long pending demand of the residents as the roads were in depilated condition.
While interacting with the locals, Councillor Gurmeet Kour Randhawa highlighted that blacktopping has been done on most of the roads during the last three years. Depleted and narrow roads and streets will be resurfaced and widened in due course, she added.
Gurmeet Kour Randhawa asked the residents to cooperate with the Jammu Municipal Corporation in ensuring cleanliness of the city. The Councillor also urged upon the residents to stop throwing garbage and debris in lanes and drains and avoid using single use plastic and polythene. She stressed that residents should segregate wet and dry garbage at their own level and hand it over to garbage collection auto-rickshaws.
Yashpal Choudhary, while appreciating the work of Corporator Gurmeet Kour Randhawa highlighted that the large scale development is seen under Modi’s regime in Sainik Colony. Inderjeet, Sham Singh, Neetu, Harsh, Aklesh, Joginder Singh, Jaswant Singh and other prominent residents were present on the occasion.
