JAMMU, Mar 4: Municipal Councillor of Ward 4, Sunita Koul on Thursday started tile work at famous Peer Mitha Ziarat and also organized a Langar there.
In a handout the Councillor claimed that she paid for the work from her pocket.
The philanthropic gesture of Koul garnered applauds of devotees and locals especially the residents of Ward 3 in which the religious place falls as this was rare that a Councillor carried development work in another Ward. Speaking on the occasion Koul said that she was blessed to get an opportunity to facilitate the devotees by accomplishing the tile work at the Ziarat.
She also prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of J&K.
Raj Kumar, Surinder Kaur, Geeta Chanchla, Peer Zulfkar, Rashid, Anil, Ram Lubhaya, Sham Dass and others were also present on the occasion.
