JAMMU, May 4: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillors from Talab Tillo, alleged uncooperative behaviour from JMC officials in a meeting held at Ward 41 office at Talab Tillo.
In a first ever meeting conducted by JMC Councilliors from Talab Tillo, attended by Councillors of Ward numbers 31, 32, 40, 41 and 61, they held threadbare discussions on problems faced during the ongoing Corona lockdown.
Councillors alleged uncooperative behavior and unacceptable Interference of JMC officials in the domain of JMC Councillors, while discharging their lawful duties during the Corona Pandemic.
Councilors said that certain officials have played monopoly during whole Corona lockdown and were seen interest in more of the photo sessions rather than addressing the real issues of masses. They also stressed that some of the officials were highly reluctant to cooperative with the councillors. They said that these ground level elections were held with the purpose of providing good governance at the doorstep by involvement of public representatives but the actions by certain officials are failing the purpose as they are often seen bypassing the lawfully elected public representatives.
Councilors said that they are working whole day and night to address the issues of masses but the uncooperative and authoritarian attitude of certain officials have forced them to highlight their plight.
Councillors also complimented general masses for their cooperation during the whole lockdown period and said that they expect similar behaviour from masses for defeating Corona virus infection.
Councillor Ward No.31, Sardar Succha Singh, Councillor Ward No 32, Sat Pal Karlupia, Councillor Ward No 40, Neelam Nargotra, Councillor Ward No 61, Mohinder Kumar participated in the meeting organised by Councillor Ward No 41, Sanjay Kumar Baru at Ward 41 office.
Sanjay Baru, also complimented all the Councillors for their useful suggestions during the meeting and said that further such more meetings will be conducted every month to discuss the public issues for the development of Wards under Talab Tillo area and ensuring benefit of masses.
