JAMMU, June 25: Councillors Neena Gupta and Rajkumar Tarkhan kick started the black topping work in Ward Numbers 50 and 51 of Channi Himmat.
A deputation of the locals met Rajkumar Tarkhan and Neena Gupta few months back with demands including upgradation of transformers, roads and tube wells. The locals alleged that the area has been neglected by the successive Governments and authorities.
Rajkumar Tarkhan and Neena Gupta met with concerned authorities and then after the road was sanctioned.
While addressing a gathering, Tarkhan and Neena Gupta retreated that BJP will leave no stone unturned to end decades of discrimination being done with neglected areas. They also stated that the remaining demands of the people will be addressed at the earliest.
Councillors further assured the residents that all other works including drain, parks, water problem and lights will be taken up on high priority.
Kamlesh Magotra Vice President Mahila Morcha Gandhi Nagar Mandal, Poonam District Secretary Mahila Morcha Jammu, Smeh Gupta, Jagdish Raj Proch, Rakesh Dhar, Noor Mohammad, Sanjeev Vaid, Jeevan Singh Charak, Deepak Kumar and many others were present on the occasion.
