JAMMU, Feb 24: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor Suneet Raina today kickstarted blacktopping work at karan Nagar in Ward No 9 . The blacktopping work to be executed at the cost of Rs 20 lakh (City Grant) was inaugurated by Raina in presence of prominent citizens of Ward 9.
Later, Raina along with officers of various Department also visited Ward 9 and its surrounding localities and met with the locals.
He gave them a patient hearing and assured them that all their genuine demands will be addressed in a time-bound manner.
Raina further added that development work going on in Ward No.9 is already being completed at a fast pace with the cooperation of AEE & JE and also due to the support of the people from area. “Blacktopping and renovation of road is in progress so as to prevent any inconvenience to the people of the ward”, he said.
