Couple among 3 injured in road accidents

SAMBA, July 18 : Three persons including a couple were injured in two different road accidents in Samba district today.
Police said a couple was injured in road mishap after the motorcycle on which they were travelling hit with stray animals at Main Chowk Ghagwal in district Samba today.
The mishap occurred at Jammu -Pathankot National Highway at Main Chowk, Ghagwal, when Ranjeet Singh, 65, son of Parkash Salathia resident of Ward No 05 Kathua along with his wife namely Kiran Salathia was on way from Kathua to Samba on their personal motorcycle bearing Registration Number JK08- 8182, police said. When they reached near Main Chowk Ghagwal suddenly the stray animals crossed the road and the motorcycle hit with stray animals, as a result the bike skidded of the road and couple got critically injured.
The people immediately brought them to District Hospital Samba for treatment where doctors gave them first aid. They referred Kiran Salathia, to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for further treatment as she had received grievous injuries.
In another incident one person was injured after his motorcycle slipped near FCI Godown at Jatwal area of district Samba today.
According to police, the mishap took place at FCI Godown near Jatwal, when a motorcycle bearing Registration Number JK21E- 7396 driven by one Mukesh Kumar, son of Nag Mal resident of Malani Ghagwal who was on his way to attend his duty, when reached near FCI Godown his bike slipped suddenly, as a result he received critical injuries.
He was immediately shifted to District Hospital Samba for treatment by the help of locals, where doctors gave him first aid and referred him to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for further treatment as he too had received serious injuries.
