JAMMU : Four people, including a couple, were killed when their car skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in mountainous Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir this morning.
“A car, which was on its way from Rajouri to Reasi district this morning skidded off the road when its driver failed to negotiate a sharp turn near Prunia bridge in Pouni Parkh area and it plunged into the gorge,” a police spokesperson here said. He said four people, including a couple and a cop, were also killed in the accident.
The deceased were identified as Head Constable Mohammad Rashid, 48, Mohammad Zabeer, 35, his wife Parvez Akhtar, 30 and Razia egum, 55, all rersidents of Rajouri district. Police however, has launched the rescue operation and retrieved the bodies.
