Couple found dead mysteriously

JAMMU, Apr 6: An old couple was found dead under mysterious circumstances in their rented house at Akalpur this morning under the jurisdiction of Domana police station.
Police said 70 years old Ram Lal, a three wheeler operator and his about 65 years old wife, who has not been identified so far, were found dead in a room, which they had taken on rent at Akalpur after shifting to the village from Shivalik Nagar, Janipura.
While the woman’s body was lying outside bathroom, the man was found dead on the bed.
Police parties headed by SDPO Domana Sanjay Parihar and SHO Domana Vijay Choudhary, which rushed to the spot, saw no external marks of injuries on both the bodies. The neighbours first spotted the body from a window as the couple didn’t come out of the house till this afternoon.
The three wheeler owned by Ram Lal was parked outside while their dog was also tied outside the house.
Police said the couple had a son but he was living separately.
Police have sent the bodies to GMC Jammu for post-mortem, which will be conducted tomorrow.
Police added that the post-mortem report could give some leads on mysterious deaths. Presently, police have registered a case under Section 174 CrPC at Domana police station for further investigations.
