JAMMU, Mar 25: Police here today arrested a couple and recovered intoxicant substance from their possession.
Cops from Police Station Gangyal during a Naka at Purmandal Morh stopped a two wheeler bearing registration number JK02C1-7841 coming from Bari Brahmana and moving towards Kunjwani.
During checking of the vehicle, its rider as well as pillion rider woman, cops found heroin like substance weighing about 15-16 grams which was meant for illegal sale purpose.
The man disclosed his name as Jaspal Singh alias Deep Nagra, son of Delair Singh and the lady informed that she was Kajal Rajput, wife of Jaspal Singh, both residents of Nath Colony in Old Satwari, Shamalo Mohalla, Jammu.
They were husband and wife.
Accordingly a case in FIR number 39/2025 U/S 8/21/22/29/NDPS Act was registered and investigation started.
