UDHAMPUR, Sept 2: Panic gripped Panchayat Kulsar in Chenani Tehsil after bear attacked a couple leaving both husband and wife injured, this evening.
The victims were identified as Jagdish Kumar (42), son of Punjab Ram resident of village Gharian Kalan Panchayat Kulsar and his 38 year old wife Nirmla Devi. The couple was attacked by the bear when they were returning home from forest area after grazing their domestic animals.
The injured were shifted to CHC Chenani and their condition was stated to be stable.
The villagers also reported the incident to the Police and Wildlife Department officials seeking necessary action to capture the bear or evict it to forest area.
