JAMMU, Sept 30: Principal Sessions Judge Bhaderwah M K Sharma today awarded three and half years RI and fine of Rs 15000 to Shoukat Ali, son of Mohd Sikander of Gandoh, who had misappropriated the money of Madarasa.
After hearing both the sides, the court sentenced the accused to rigorous imprisonment for two years and fine of Rs 10,000 for the commission of offence under Section 467 RPC. He was further sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for one year and fine of Rs 5,000 for the commission of offence under Section 468 RPC and rigorous imprisonment for six months for the commission of offence under Section 471 RPC.
“In case of default in payment of fine, the convict shall suffer simple imprisonment for two months”, the court clarified.
