JAMMU, Feb 27: Presiding Officer Fast Track Court Jammu Y P Kotwal today rejected the bail application of one Javed Iqbal Mir, who was facing trial in rape case.
“Rape is most heinous crime committed against a woman and it insults womanhood, violates the dignity of a woman and erodes her honour”, the court said, adding “it dwarfs her personality and reduces her confidence level and moreover keeping in view of the nature of crime allegedly committed by the accused, his release at this stage will cause deleterious effect on the minds of people”.
With these observations, court rejected the bail application.
