JAMMU, Sept 30: Special Judge CBI Bala Joyti today rejected the bail application of one Anil Kumar Yadav, who was arrested by Enforcement Directorate in SI paper scam.
After hearing Advocate Asheesh Singh Kotwal for the applicant whereas Special PP Ashwani Khajuria for the ED, Special Judge CBI observed, “keeping in view the facts and circumstances, it is not proper to admit the applicant/accused to bail at this stage as till date he has failed to carve out a case in his favour”, adding “there is plenty of incriminatory material against him on record. Suffice it to say that applicant/accused is unable to make out a case for bail in terms of Section 45 of PMLA, moreover economic offence constitute a class apart and need to be visited with a different approach, besides there is every likelihood that he will severely hamper the ends of justice”.
With these observations, court rejected the bail application.
