JAMMU, Nov 6: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu Rakesh Sagar Jain took serious note of non-appearance of Investigating Officer (IO) and non-submission of FSL report in a murder case and directed SSP Jammu to take action against officer for dereliction of duty.
“Perusal of the challan shows that the Investigating Officer during the investigation had found strands of hair under finger nail of the deceased. He had taken hair strands of the accused Roshal Lal for FSL purpose and it is surprising that till date neither IO nor the prosecution has presented the FSL report”, the court said.
“It is apparent that same has been done deliberately otherwise there was no reason for the IO to avoid presentation of the FSL report”, the court further said and directed prosecution to produce IO as well as FSL report on next date of hearing. The court also directed SSP Jammu to take action against the IO for dereliction of duty.
