JAMMU, Oct 13: In the much publicized Udhampur attack case, Special Judge NIA YP Kotwal today extended 14 days judicial remand of LeT terrorist Mohd Naved alias Usman, Khursheed Ahmed Bhat and Showkat Ahmed.
After perusal of CD file, Special Judge NIA observed, “investigation of the case is in progress and is scattered across various places of J&K and more persons are involved in conspiracy which needs to be verified”, adding “some of the co-accused are still absconding which is causing difficulties in unearthing the larger conspiracy behind the attack on BSF convoy”.
Accordingly, court extended the judicial remand of Mohammad Naved, son of Mohd Yaqoob of Faisalabad, Pakistan, Khursheed Ahmed Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat of Pulwama and Showkat Ahmed Bhat, son of Ali Mohd Bhat of Pulwama with the direction to NIA to lodge the accused in Kot-Bhalwal Jail and produce them on expiry of the remand period.
