Court frames corruption charges against Manager SIDCO

JAMMU, Apr 20: Additional Sessions Judge Anticorruption Jammu, Jaffer Hussain Beigh today framed corruption charges against Mohd Maqbool Dar, the then Manager SIDCO, who was caught red-handed on May 1, 2010 while accepting bribe of Rs 1000.
According to the Vigilance case, the complainant Ramesh Kumar was working in Punjab Security as Supervisor of Jawahar Lal Nehru Udyog Bhawan wherein 10 security guards were deployed under him for security of the complex.
He had to provide the salary bill amounting Rs 33870 to Mohd Maqbool Dar Manager SIDCO who was supposed to mark the bill to Accounts Section for drawing the same.
On April 30, 2010 when the complainant approached Mohd Maqbool Dar for drawing the salary bill, the officer asked the complainant to come on May 1, 2010 along with bribe amount. Acting on the complaint, Vigilance sleuths laid a trap and caught red-handed the officer while accepting bribe of Rs 1000.
After hearing Senior PO Himanshu Gupta for the Vigilance Organization, Additional Sessions Judge Anticorruption Jammu framed charges against the accused.
