Court grants 15 days judicial remand of Kewal Sharma

JAMMU, Mar 9: Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu Sanjeev Gupta today granted 15 days judicial remand of Kewal Sharma, the then PRO to former Deputy Chief Minister, who has been booked in disproportionate assets case.
After going through the remand application as well as the CD file, the court observed, “the prayer of the IO seems to be genuine in the light of allegations against the accused”.
Accordingly, accused was remanded to judicial custody for a period of 15 days with the direction that he shall be produced in the competent court after the expiry of remand period. “In case any medical assistance is required by the accused the same shall be provided to him”, the court said.
