Srinagar, Nov 12: A local court today granted bail to 21 activists of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, who were arrested six days ago by police in downtown area of Nowhatta while they were marching towards TRC ground in response to “Million March” called by Hurriyat Conference.
The court of Forest Magistrate presided by Bashir Ahmad Munshi after hearing counsel for the accused persons advocate Shafkat Hussain granted bail to 21 activists of DeM including a minor.
The police arrested these activists to prevent them from marching towards TRC ground, the venue for “Million March” called by Hurriyat Conference chairman Syed Ali Geelani on the same day when the Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium.
“Forest Magistrate Bashir Ahmad Munshi granted bail to all the 21 arrestees” , Advocate Mir Shafaqat Hussain said.
