JAMMU, Apr 12: Sub-Judge Jammu, S S Bali today rejected the bail application of Pawan Kumar, son of Rattan Lal of Pathniya, who was arrested in case of kidnapping and rape with a BA student.
According to the police case, on January 20, 2014 father of prosecutrix lodged a written complaint with Police Station Domana alleging that his daughter studying in BA-I has not returned from the college.
On this information, police registered a case and started investigation. During the course of investigation, police recovered the prosecutrix on March 16, 2014 from general bus stand and accused was taken into custody. The statements of some witnesses including prosecutrix in terms of Section 164-A CrPC were recorded and Section 376 RPC was added in the FIR.
After hearing, Senior PO Rohit Gupta for the State, Sub-Judge observed, “accused has also crossed all the limits of morality”.
Accordingly, the Court dismissed the bail application of the accused.
