Court rejects bail in temple desecration case

JAMMU, Aug 6: Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Rajesh Sekri today rejected the bail application of Rajinder Singh, son of Sugreev Singh and Suresh Kumar, son of Algo Ram, who were challaned by the police in Nanak Nagar Shiv Temple desecration case.
After hearing both the sides, Additional Sessions Judge observed, “in view of Section 497-B CrPC, accused involved in the commission of special offences cannot be released on bail unless the court is satisfied that there is a reasonable ground for believing that he is not guilty of such offences”.
“In the present case, the petitioners are prima facie involved in the commission of special offences and there is no reasonable ground for  believing that  they  are no guilty of the offences, they have been charged with”, the court said while rejecting the bail application.
