Jammu, July 11: In a much publicized Ban Toll Plaza terrorist attack case on January 31, 2020 in which 3 Pak militants of JeM outfit were gunned down, 3 Pulwama OGWs arrested, Special Judge NIA Sunit Gupta today rejected the bail application of Suhaib Manzoor, son Manzoor Ahmed Wani of Karimabad district Pulwama Kashmir.
While rejecting the bail application , Special Judge NIA Jammu Sunit Gupta observed that nowadays, terrorism has again taken a steep rise in the Kashmir valley which was earlier in time in slow pace. It is also experienced that some of the local inhabitants of the Kashmir valley are having in depth sympathy for the terrorists and they used to extend logistic support to them under the misconception of being part of ‘Jehad’.
As such until and unless these kind of local inhabitants are not dealt with iron hands , the militancy in the state cannot be curbed. Terrorism is one of the manifestations of increased lawlessness and cult of violence. Violence and crime constitute a threat to an established order and are a revolt against a civilized society. Experience has shown us that ‘terrorism is generality an attempt to acquire or maintain power or control by intimidation and causing fear and helplessness in the minds of the people at large or any section thereof and is a totally abnormal phenomenon.”.
