Court restrains airing of offending video against JKAS officer

JAMMU, Oct 7: CJM Kathua, Swati Gupta has restrained the Facebook (now Meta) through its CEO, Youtube through its CEO, Amit Ajrawat, Reporter of Jammu Samvad (Media/ News Agency) and Lalit Khajuria , Editor, Owner and Publisher of Jammu Samvad, from airing the offending video vis-à-vis Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officer Tasbina Sheikh, Deputy Registrar Cooperatives Kathua.
After hearing Advocate Kirti Bushan Mahajan for JKAS officer, the court of Civil Judge (Sr. Division) /CJM, Kathua has restrained the Facebook through its CEO, Youtube through its CEO, Amit Ajrawat, Reporter of Jammu Samvad (Media/ News Agency) and Lalit Khajuria, Editor, Owner and Publisher of Jammu Samvad, from airing the offending video at their web portal as well as social media vis a vis plaintiff.
The court put up the matter on 27/10/2023 for appearance and filing of objection by non-applicants.
