JAMMU, Aug 23: Communist Party of India (Marxist), Jammu today reiterated its demand for release of senior CPI(M) leader MY Tarigami, who is under house arrest since midnight of August 4.
In a party meeting held here today, CPI(M) leaders of Jammu Region said that tarigami has suffering from multiple health problems including chronic diabetes. “Moreover, he had undergone major heart surgery in July 2017 for which he needs to go for regular checkup at specialized medical institute at Delhi,” the leaders said and urged upon the Government to release and allow Tarigami to undergo medical checkup and treatment at Delhi.
The party leaders presented in the meeting were Regional secretary, Sham Parshad Kesar, Om Parkash, Kishore Kumar, Sohan Lal, Sewa Ram Bhagat, Muzafar Wani, Jagdish Sharma, Banarsi Dass, Vikil Vaid and Jia Lal.
