GULMARG, Apr 20: Chief Post Master General, John Samuel dedicated Tourist Post Office to the people during Post Office Festival, here today.
It was the second Post Office in the Valley to be modernized this year in a colourful function held at Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering, Gulmarg, while as a few days back, Qazigund Project Arrow Post Office was dedicated to public in an impressive and well attended function.
“The modernization of Gulmarg Post Office is an initiative to develop it as a tourist friendly Post Office with all latest facilities,” said Samuels.
Earlier, Jagdeep Gupta, Director Postal Services, J&K presented the welcome address, while ND Prajapati, SSPO’s Division later-on presented vote of thanks.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Tariq Hussain Ganie, Chief Executive Officer Gulmarg Development Authority and Alex Koshai, Manager Khyber Hotel Gulmarg.
