CPMG releases ‘My Stamps’ in four new templates

JAMMU, Nov 26: Carrying forward its plans to provide innovative services through Postal network Chief Postmaster General, J&K Circle, John Samuel, today introduced ‘My Stamp’ Service in four new templates during one-day postal officers’ meet at Jammu.
The templates on flower series viz. Pancy, Lily, Dhalia and Cineraria will provide choice to people who can get photographs of individual on different Postal Stamps apart from the existing templates. My stamps in new templates can be an ideal gift for birthdays, anniversaries etc.
Speaking on the occasion Samuel said J&K is the first State in the Country where people can get personalised postage stamps, the service called ‘My Stamp’, adding that with the release of new templates the choice for personalized stamps have increased. He described the ‘My Stamp’ Service as success in the State and informed that the service was so appreciated by the people of the State that Department has earned revenue of about Rs 1 crore during the last one year.
Chief Postmaster General stated that J&K Circle is going to introduce e-Post service very shortly whereby digital divide existing at present will be bridged effectively. Under this service, customers can send their mail through email and it will be printed and delivered as a hard copy to the addressees by the post office.
The Chief Postmaster General also distributed prizes among the postmasters for excellence in performance under International Money Transfer Service, Sale of Gold Coins, My Stamp, Savings Bank and Express Parcel Post Services.
On the occasion Postmaster Kathua and Postmaster Jawahar Nagar (Srinagar) were conferred awards for selling maximum number of Gold coins while under International Money Transfer Service Postmaster Kupwara and Postmaster Rajouri was facilitated for securing highest number of transactions. Postmaster Gandhi Nagar was bestowed award for procuring maximum business under My Stamp service while for Savings Bank Transactions Supdt. Post Offices Rajouri was awarded. Jammu Head Post Office and Udhampur Head Post Office were awarded for highest revenue under Express Parcel Post while Rajouri Head Post office clinched award for revenue under Speed Post.  Amit Sharma, Director Finance, Jagdeep Gupta, Director Postal Services and  Showkat Parrey, ACAO were also present on the occasion.
