KISHTWAR, June 9: A deputation of Chinar Power Projects Workers Union, district Kishtwar, led by its chairman Joginder Bhandari today called upon the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, G N Balwan and discussed various issues.
Joginder Bhandari urged upon the Deputy Commissioner for early start of Pakal Dul Hydroelectric Project and Rattle Project.
The Deputy Commissioner informed the deputationist that the client of Rattle Hydroelectric Project Drabshalla has left the execution of the project best known to the Government of State .
The DC while informing about the Pakal Dul Hydroelectric Project said that the first lowest bidder namely Drangduran Hydro Project (A joint venture) of the project has been stayed as the Management of Pakal Dul had invited fresh tenders and on this the Drangduran Hydro Project (A joint venture of Pakal Dul) has stayed the fresh tendering of the said project.
The Deputy Commissioner said that it will take at least three months to start the project for which he is going to hold a meeting with Chief Secretary regarding the implementation of R R Plan of Pakal Dul Hydroelectric Project.
Bhandari also complained that the vegetable shopkeepers and vendors are charging higher rates on vegetables and fruits since the holy Ramadhan is going on.
In this connection , the Deputy Commissioner asked the deputationists to submit written complaint so that strict action could be taken against the violators.
