CPPWU for execution of hydroelectric projects

KISHTWAR, Feb 10: Executive members of Chinar Power Projects Workers Union (CPPWU) today held a meeting under the chairmanship of Joginder Bhandari, wherein all the participants demanded starting of hydroelectric projects in the district.
The participants stressed upon the Governor NN Vohra to immediately start the execution of Pakal Dul, Kero, Kawar, Karthi and Burser Hydroelectric Projects situated in the district to create employment opportunities for the local unemployed youths.
They said that the Pakal Dul Hydroelectric Project having generating capacity of 1020 MW electricity has been accorded no objection certificates by all the concerned departments and CC for Rs 22,800 cr stands cleared for which land has been acquired and work stands allotted to Patel Company by the Chenab Valley Power Projects (CVPP) but still the work is not executed there for the reasons best known to the management of CVPP.
He has also demanded resumption of work on the Rattle Hydroelectric Project Drabshalla where the work was suspended by M/s GVK since July last year without any solid reason.
