Crackdown on traffic violators by MVD Doda

DODA, July 13: The Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Doda, led by ARTO Rajesh Gupta, has launched a rigorous crackdown on traffic violators along NH244. The operation, aimed at ensuring road safety and strict compliance with motor vehicle regulations, involved a dedicated team comprising MVD Inspector Nitin Singh, Arshid Ahmed, and other staff members of MVD Doda.
During the enforcement drive, a total of 26 vehicles were issued e-challans for various violations, with the expected collection amounting to Rs 49,100. The infractions included driving without a Speed Limiting Device (SLD), lack of insurance, overloading in passenger vehicles, not wearing seat belts (7 cases), driving without a Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC), and unauthorized vehicle alterations.
This crackdown is part of a broader initiative by MVD Doda to enhance road safety and enforce adherence to traffic laws. ARTO Rajesh Gupta emphasized the importance of such operations in reducing road accidents and promoting responsible driving behavior among motorists. He reiterated that consistent enforcement of traffic regulations is crucial for ensuring the safety of all road users.
