JAMMU, Dec 21: Zonal president of NPP  Neeraj Gupta has urged upon the State Government to create multi-storey parking facility at Bahu Fort to accommodate the heavy rush of pilgrims visiting the temple of Bawe Wali Mata.
Talking to media-persons here Neeraj Gupta criticized the Government for its wrong policies. He alleged that the Government is not taking appropriate steps to promote the temples/ shrines and other tourist spots of Jammu region.  He said that present Govt has failed to develop the tourist spots of the Jammu city especially temples/ shrines which results in the failure of tourism industry in Jammu.
It also affects the image of Jammu which is known as the city of temples. He stated that the Govt is not serious in developing the tourist spots. Gupta claimed that historical Bawe Wali Mata Temple and Mahamaya Temple was developed by former Governor Jagmohan during his tenure.
At that time, a park and children park were also developed near the temple. The shooting of a number of films was held in this park. The school children often come for picnic in the park, but no development is taking place around  temple of Bawe Wali Mata and Mahamaya Mata. Even the development made at that time was not maintained by the past and present Govt and the parks are in a worst condition.
At present the parking space is not sufficient because there is no sufficient provision of parking.  There is urgent need to create multi-storey cars/ bikes parking facility there.
