JAMMU, Apr 11: BJP Star campaigner and renowned cricketer, Gautam Gambir while addressing a public rally at village Nagari in Kathua district in support of BJP Union Minister and candidate for Kathua-Udhampur and Doda Parliamentary constituency, Dr Jitendra Singh appealed the people to vote in favour of PM, Narendra Modi and confirm the victory of Dr. Jitendra Singh from this Constituency.
He said PM Modi wants to make India a Super Power of World. But some Kashmir based political parties did not want the development of country and were demanding separate PM for the State. He said these vested interests only want their personal development. Gambir said that from Kashmir to Kanyakumari India is one and “we have only one Prime Minister in the country’’. There can’t be two Prime Ministers in a country which is also the violation of Constitution, he added.
Gambir said it is unfortunate that these leaders took the oath of the Constitution of India and adopted the double standards for vote bank. The people of India are now aware of such leaders and he appealed the masses to neglect these leaders.
Gambir said that Dr Jitendra Singh is a man down to earth who has worked a lot for the welfare of the people of his Constituency and brought many developmental projects for it. He said Dr Jitendra Sing deserves credit for granting reservations to IB people art par with LoC people which was a great discrimination with them committed by previous NC–Congress Governments.
Besides, hiking of relief to Jammu migrants at par with Kashmiri migrants, establishing two medical colleges, establishing of degree colleges in remote areas, construction of KVs, bridges etc show how enthusiastic the local MP is for the developement of his Constituency. He assured the people that if they elect him for the next term they will find that the Constituency which remained neglected for decades will be one of the developed constituencies of the country.
On the occasion Ex MLA, Rajiv Jasrotia addressed the rally. He also appealed the people to vote for Dr Jitendra Singh whose contribution in development of constituency is acknowledged by his opponents.
