PRAYAGRAJ: Kumbh mela will also witness great Indian cricketers coming in the days to come.
Many well-known cricketers including Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina, would be attending the Kumbh mela a day prior to the Basant Panchami snan to be held on February 10.
After having a holy dip in the Sangam on Basant Panchami, these players will stay in tents for two to three days here. Popularly known as Sixer King, Yuvraj Singh will come along with his wife Hazel Keech in Kumbh area. On the other hand cricketer Suresh Raina will come to the Sangam along with his family. A city based famous cricketer Mohammad Kaif will also go to Kumbh area with family.
Yog guru Swamy Anand Giri, president of Ganga army camp, said all these cricketers would arrive in Ganga Army Camp in Kumbh area a day prior to Basant Panchami.
Coordinator Sharad Mishra said here on Friday many select players, including Debashish Mohanty, Ashish Nehra, also have plans to visit the Kumbh . Bansat Panchami will have a third (shahi snan) royal bathing. There is also speculation that all cricketers will also see the royal bathing here.
In addition to this, the cricketer coming to earn ‘punya’ by taking a holy dip in Sangam in Kumbh will also visit the newly opened ‘Akshyavat’ located at Fort. Besides, they would also visit many famous temples of the city. Apart from the cricketers, many film stars will also be coming in the Ganga Army camp. The celebrities will start coming from the last week of January before Basant Panchami. (AGENCIES)
