Crime Branch files challan against land grabbers

JAMMU, Dec 29: The Crime Branch of State police today produced challan against a group of alleged land grabbers and cheaters in the court of law.
A senior Crime Branch official said that after completion of investigation in the case FIR No. 15/ 2012, a challan was produced in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu today.  The accused had been booked under Sections 419, 420, 423, 465, 466, 468 and 120-B RPC at Police Station Crime Branch Jammu on the complaint of one Deep Kumar, son of Manohar Lal, resident of  Bahu Fort, Jammu.
Deep Kumar in his complaint has alleged that he is the owner and in possession of land measuring 7 kanals of village Chowadi in district Jammu. Out of the said land, 3 kanal, 12 marlas falling under Khasra No1177  and one kanal and 12 marla falling under Khasra No. 1176  was purchased by him in 2005 and the necessary entries were got reflected in the Revenue record.
On May 27, 2012 some persons came to the complainant  with the plea that they had purchased the land belonging to him. Deep Kumar further alleged that two documents of sale both dated 24-5-2012, purportedly executed by him, one   in favour of Nazir Ahmed, son of Alla Rakha of Chowadi and the other in favour of Shamim Akhtar, wife of Gaffar Hussain of Chowadi were found received in the office of Sub Registrar  Jammu for registration. Deep Kumar claimed that  he never moved to the Tehsildar for getting Fard or office of Registrar for the registration of the said sale deeds.
During investigation it was found that one Shashi Kumar alias Makhnu, son of Nanak Dass, resident of Brian in Samba hatched a criminal conspiracy with  Nazir Ahmed and Shamim Akhtar of Chowadi  and in pursuance to that he managed photographs, Fard Intkhab Jamabandi and Akas Shajra of the land of the complainant and transferred the said land by executing two sale deeds one in favour of Nazir Hussain and the other in favour of Shamim Akhtar. Both the sale deeds were produced in the court on the same date. The accused Shashi Kumar posed himself as Deep Kumar,  owner of  the land. He was identified by both Nazir and Shamim. After establishing offence against the accused persons a chargesheet was presented in the court against Shashi Kumar alias Makhnu and two others.
