JAMMU, May 25: A notorious criminal involved in over half dozen cases has been booked under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA).
As per police sources, a notorious criminal identified as Shabir Ahmed, son of Mohammad Abdullah, a resident of district Anantnag, at present Jeevan Shah Mohallah, Pir Mitha was involved in more than half dozen cases registered with different police stations.
The accused had not only created terror among the peaceful citizens but also disturbed peace and tranquility in various areas. He was also a noted land grabber.
Keeping in view the activities of the criminal, District Magistrate imposed PSA on him.
