JAMMU, Nov 5: Number of crorepatis candidates continued to swell with filing of more nomination papers on last day of filing papers for first phase of polling on 15 Assembly constituencies today.
Works Minister and Congress candidate from Doda Abdul Majid Wani has movable assets worth Rs 84.59 lakh including a Toyota Fortuner and Ford Eco Sport. His spouse has jewellery worth Rs 8 lakh.
Wani has immovable assets to the tune of Rs 99.02 lakh including 66 kanals 14 marlas land and a guest house at Srinagar. His wife has Rs 50 lakh worth residential building at Sunjwan, Jammu.
Former Minister and Congress candidate from Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori has movable assets only worth Rs 30,000 on his name while similar assets on the name of his wife were valued at Rs 8 lakh including gold jewellery to the tune of Rs 7 lakh.
Saroori has immovable assets worth Rs 1.5 crore including 22 kanals 7 marlas land, constructed shops at Prem Nagar, Jammu and residential house at Kishtwar.
Congress candidate from Bhaderwah Mohammad Sharief Niaz has movable assets worth only Rs 3000 and his wife Rs 50,000 and immovable assets of Rs 29.20 lakh including 14 kanal 30 marla land.
PDP candidate in Ramban Swami Raj Bhagat has movable assets worth Rs 6.18 lakh and his spouse Rs 1.91 lakh. He has immovable assets worth Rs 28.15 lakh including 39.17 kanals land at Jhatgaki and Jammu and houses at Jhatgaki, Ramban and Talab Tillo, Jammu
PDP candidate from Doda Riaz Hussain Mintoo has movable assets worth Rs 10.97 lakh with Rs 10000 in hand while his wife has Rs 7.86 lakh worth similar assets including Rs 7.8 lakh jewellery.
He has immovable assets worth Rs 24 lakh with 8 marlas land at Doda.
PDP candidate from Banihal Bashir Ahmed Runiyal’s movable assets were to the tune of Rs 170.03 lakh including a Maruti car, Wagon-R car, Maruti Swift DZire, Scorpio car and 15 tolas gold of her spouse.
He has immovable assets worth Rs 2.05 crores including one house at Jammu and another at Ramban.
Another PDP candidate from Doda Shahab-ul-Haq has movable assets Rs 10.06 lakh including Toyota Etios and Maruti Omni. His wife has similar assets worth Rs 2.80 lakh including gold worth Rs 2.6 lakh. His immovable assets are to the tune of Rs 25 lakh including 8.5 marlas plot at Doda.
Congress candidate from Kishtwar Nek Ram’s movable assets were worth Rs 4.36 lakh including 30 grams gold ornaments valuing Rs 78,000 while his wife’s similar assets were to the tune of Rs 2.80 lakh including 100 grams gold valuing Rs 2.60 lakh. He has immovable assets worth Rs 64.16 lakh including 14 kanals 5 marlas land.
In Ganderbal Congress candidate Mohammad Yousaf Bhat has movable assets valued at Rs 6.43 lakh with Rs 15000 in hand. His wife has similar assets worth Rs 1.26 lakh including 50 grams bullion in the one gold ring and necklace worth Rs 1.25 lakh. He has immovable assets worth Rs 10 lakh including 12 kanals and 18 marlas land, three shops at Repora and one single storied residential house at Repora tehsil Lar.
Independent candidate Javed Ahmad Khan from Ganderbal has movable assets worth Rs 42797 with Rs 10,000 in hand and his wife Rs 3.10 lakh including gold ornaments worth Rs 3 lakh. He has no immovable assets.
