JAMMU, Mar 28: Crossed Swords Division as a part of its Raising Day celebrations, organised a lively Equestrian display event at Akhnoor today.
To commemorate the Raising Day celebrations, a Horse show- cum- riding competition was conducted by Akhnoor based Animal Transport Unit for the soldiers, their families and ex-servicemen of Akhnoor. The Horse show demonstrated how “man’s best friend” assists our soldiers in all operations in varied terrain.
The show included skills of trained horses in jumping and tent pegging. Fifteen horses from Army units, riders and children actively participated in the mega show. The Crossed Swords Division is conducting main Raising Day function on April Ist, 2016 to commemorate its 51 years of association with the locals of Akhnoor.
