POONCH, Aug 28: An Assistant Sub Inspector of CRPF (187 Bn) died of heart attack during duty in the town here today.
Official sources said that ASI Shanker Lal, hailing from Rajasthan and placed in 187th Battalion had been deputed during Budha Amarnath Yatra in Poonch. The unit was putting up at Govt Higher Secondary school here. He complained of chest pain during morning and was rushed to local hospital where he died after some time. His body was later sent to his home town after completion of legal formalities by police.
