KATRA, Jan 7: A CRPF Assistant Sub-Inspector allegedly shot himself with his service rifle during duty hours, here this morning.

Reports said that ASI Rajnath Prasad (55), son of Late Madhad Mistri, resident of village Kapna , District – Patna, Bihar, presently posted at 6th CRPF Battalion based at Katra, hit himself with service riffle.
He was found dead due to bullet injury near his chest. Later, the body was shifted to hospital for postmortem while inquest proceeding in the matter has been initiated.
Police party is on job to ascertain the cause of apparent suicide.
