CRPF celebrates Veterans’ Day

JAMMU, Mar 25: Central Reserve Police Force celebrated Veterans’ Day today by organizing various activities at Group Centre CRPF Jammu as well as GC Hiranagar at Nagrota.
At Group Centre Jammu, Retired officers, subordinate officers and personnel of CRPF from Jammu region were invited on the occasion. Bhanu Pratap Singh, DIG, Group Centre CRPF, welcomed all present (serving/retired) officers, subordinate officers and other personnel and after that Prem Chandra Gupta, Commandant Group Center, CRPF sensitize the retirees with the latest welfare policies issued from the Directorate General CRPF.
DIG Group Centre CRPF Jammu heard sincerely all the issues of the veterans, their suggestions concerned with the GC Jammu and other personal problems, and ordered officials for speedy disposal all their issues. He assured all veterans that their issues will be settled at the earliest and if there is some pending issues with other CRPF offices, related correspondence will be done with the concerned office at the earliest.
Rajesh Kumar Deputy Commandant, SumitVerma Deputy Commandant, Charan Singh Deputy Commandant/ Ministerial, Umesh Chandra Pandey, Assistant Commandant/ Ministerial and other gazetted officers, subordinate officers and jawans were also present.
At GC Hiranagar in Nagrota area, the veterans were invited and honoured for their contribution for internal security, border security, fighting terrorism, etc by Deputy Inspector General SS Rana in the presence of Commandant Vallabh Sharma, and other serving officers and officials.
The veterans were also sensitized about different welfare schemes run by the CRPF viz. grant of Rs 1 lakh from Special Relief Fund to veterans (once in a life) for treatment of ‘rarest of rare’ disease and free OPD services to veterans and their dependents in CRPF hospitals.
