CRPF distributes relief among flood hit people

JAMMU, Oct 5: Under the Civic Action Programme, 160-Batallion of CRPF organized a flood relief camp, here today.
During the camp, relief material like blankets, rice and other items worth Rs 1,70,000 were distributed among the 80 flood affected families.
The material was distributed by Sarabjit Singh Ghuman, Commandant 160 Battalion of CRPF and Jarnail Singh Butter, NRI who had donated the relief items in the memory of Late Mrs Lorraine of Durby England.
Speaking on the occasion, Sarabjit Singh Ghuman said that CRPF was extending all possible help to the people affected due to natural calamity. All NRIs are also with the victims and this is evident from the relief provided by Jarnail Singh Butter, he added.
On the occasion, Sarpanch Bishandas, Gurcharan Singh, Dy Commandant, Harish Chander Kumar, Dy Commandant Sanjay Kumar Singh, Deputy Commandant and other officers of the unit were also present on the occasion.
